Check out the Atlanta music scene this Cinco de Mayo to hear some of the hottest bands the city has to offer.

The Atlanta Music scene will be buzzing with a variety of amazing festivals on Cinco de Mayo 2013. We’ve compiled a list of the top 5 places to check out if you want to hear some music this weekend. So, grab a frosty, salt-rimmed margarita and head on over to one, or all, of the city’s concerts.

Fiesta Atlanta’s Cinco de Mayo Festival

The 7th annual Fiesta Atlanta will be held this Sunday at Centennial Olympic Park. This year’s festival will feature music from the hottest international, national and local recording artists, as well as mariachi music and Mexican folk dancing. There will also be a 5K, youth soccer clinics, arts and crafts and authentic international cuisine. For more information, visit the Fiesta Atlanta website.

Shaky Knees Festival

Although it doesn’t feature a Cinco de Mayo theme, the Shaky Knees Festival will have some of todays most popular acts including Band of Horses, The Lumineers, Drive by Truckers and many more. This festival will be held Saturday and Sunday in Atlanta’s Historic Fourth Ward Park and the Masquerade Music Park. For more information, visit the Shaky Knees Festival website.

La Raza Fest

If you’re looking to get out of the city for the weekend, then La Raza Fest is for you. Held at Lake Lanier Islands, La Raza Fest is Georgia’s largest Cinco de Mayo festival. Events will feature performances by Latin recording artists, mariachi bands, Mexican folk dancers and much more. Check out the La Raza Fest website for more info.

Cinco de Mayo at Atlantic Station

From noon to 9:30 p.m. this Sunday, head down to Central Park and Rosa Mexicano at Atlantic Station for a Cinco de Mayo event filled with delicious food, cold margaritas and tons of music. The event kicks off with a mariachi band and then continues with other talented musical acts including Havana Son, Great Barrier Reef and Arena Sound. The Atlantic Station website has all the info.

Quatro de Mayo Patio Party

If you can’t party on Sunday because you have an early morning on Monday, then you should visit the Quatro de Mayo Patio Party at {three} sheets. In addition to drink specials and savory treats, the event will feature live music on the patio until 9 p.m., and then a DJ will bring it on home until 2 a.m. Visit the {three} sheets website for more info.
