Stay Close to Home for Live Music this New Year's Eve

This New Year’s Eve, there are plenty opportunities to hear live music in Atlanta. However, for those of us who live in the suburbs, it can be a long and expensive trek that we can’t afford after spending several months of paychecks on holiday shopping. Fret not because you can still have a night of fun, right here in your own backyard.

For example, the historic Earl Smith Strand Theatre in downtown Marietta will be THE place on New Year’s Eve for local area residents. Presented by Gem City Hall of Fame, Inc., Guadalcanal Diary will “Bring It On Home” to their old stomping grounds as part of their 30th birthday reunion tour. The evening also includes performances by special guests The Dex Romweber Duo and Flamingo Royale as well as an after party on the 4th floor terrace of The Strand.

The show starts Saturday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for the concert and $45 for the concert and after party. For more information about this event, or to purchase tickets, visit The Earl Smith Strand Theatre website.

The Gem City Hall of Fame, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources for the arts to schools in and around Marietta. Check out the website for information about how you can get involved with keeping music in our schools.

And, make sure to check the Fennerio Productions blog often for information about the best live music Atlanta and the metro area has to offer.
